Myron R. ”Mike” Gansz Lyons—Myron R. “Mike” Gansz 87 of Lyons, NY, passed peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022, during a brief stay at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo NY. Friends and Family may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the First Lutheran Church, 35 Broad Street, Lyons, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 at the church, and burial will be in the family plot in the South Lyons Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and at his request, memorials in his name may be made to the First Lutheran Church, 35 Broad Street, Lyons, NY 14489. Myron was born in Lyons on December 31st, 1934, the eldest of the 4 sons of Archie & Helen (Beal) Gansz. Mike worked for 31 years for Chevron USA at the Road Materials Plant on Cole Road in Lyons. He was a member of the Wayne County Historical Society, the Palmyra Moose Lodge, and a 52-year member of the Lyons Elks Lodge (#869). In his retirement, he and his Wife of 31 years, best friend, and travel companion, Edna May (Gruschow-Facer) were able to realize their dreams of traveling the world. Mike is survived by his wife Edna, one brother, Edward, of Lyons, 3 daughters, Marjorie Ameele of Lyons, Sarah Gansz of Clearwater, FL, and Jenifer (John) Albanese of Lyons, and by Tom (Mary Ann) Facer of Newark. Mike had 6 Grandchildren, Michael Ameele of Rochester, Brian Ameele of Newark, Carl (Natasha) Facer of Boston MA, Meghan (Jim) Walters of Hammondsport, Martha (Ryan) Hilton of Canandaigua, Edward (Jenna) Facer of Lancaster PA. and four Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and others from the Gansz, Beal, Noble, and Facer Families.
