Jeffery Thomas Rieke Lyons/Newark---Jeffery Thomas Rieke, 45, peacefully passed away on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at his home in Newark. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 5-7 PM at the Lyons Community Center, 9 Manhattan St., Lyons, NY. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 7 PM at the Community Center. Please feel free to wear his favorite teams Buffalo Bills or Syracuse in honor of Jeff. Jeff also fondly knows as Skippy or Kipper was born on September 22, 1976 the son of Rhonda (Shaun) Ford. He was the class President and 1994 graduate of Lyons High School. He attended school in Liverpool and graduated valedictorian of his class. Jeff began his work career as all his family did, at the Caboose. He also worked for Mackintosh. Jeff worked for a brief time at IBM in Vermont but moved back home after a layoff to be closer to family and friends. His most recent was at Faradyne Motors in Palmyra. Jeff loved his family, friends, his scooter and his Coop. He was an amazing cook, there was nothing he couldn’t smoke, bake or grill. He loved the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse Orangemen. Jeff enjoyed poker and was a dealer. Above all Jeff was an amazing son, brother, husband, Dad, Uncle and friend. He filled these roles completely and perfectly. Jeff is survived by his parents Rhonda (Shaun) Ford; the love of his life and wife Michele Rieke; his two children Evan and Erica; brother Nathan (Sara) Rieke; sister Jennifer Sawtelle; nephews Dylan Blanchard, Alex Sawtelle, Jon Rieke; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; father-in-law Joe Magovero.
