Eugene F. Spangenberg “Jay” Phelps—Eugene F. “Jay” Spangenberg passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Geneva General Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be announced. Mr. Spangenberg was born in Canandaigua, NY on April 10, 1963 the son of the late Eugene and Joanne Miner Spangenberg. He attended high school in Waterloo. He had been a mechanic, machinist and a welder. He was always into getting his hands dirty. Jay was always willing to help someone in need. Jay is survived by his wife of 34 years Carol; three children Nicole, Adam and Jonah Spangenberg; six brothers and two sisters; many good friends who were like family. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
