Lyons—Betty J. Loucks, 88, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Clifton Springs Hospital.
Friends may call on Friday, August 23. 2024, from 4–7PM at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, NY. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
Betty was born in Oaks Corners, NY, on July 15, 1936, the daughter of the late George an Pauline Rice Wickum. For over 50 years she was a member of the first Presbyterian Church in Lyons. Betty served as an Elder, Deacon, Choir member, and for over forty years a Sunday School Teacher for her church. Betty was a longtime member of the Lyons, Wayne County and the Northern Central Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She was active in the Boy Scouts and the Lyonette for a time. For years, she worked at Newberry’s then at Loson’s Big M until her retirement in 2002
She is survived by two daughters Linda Hixson, Lori (Rick Justiniano) Steel, a son Robbie (Jennifer) Tyler; grandchildren Ashley (Dave) Finnemore, Courtney and Nathan Maestre, Jerad (Sarah) Clingerman, Wayne Hoad, Jordan and Noah Tyler, great granddaughters Madylin and Dahlia: great grandsons Orion, Henry and Luca. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 45 years Milton Tyler and her second husband Charles Loucks; brothers Edward Wickum, Lee Wickum.
