Sodus/Lyons---David Edward Schuldt born March 24, 1953, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, surrounded by family. 

Friends may call from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, NY 14489. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11 AM on Sept. 4th at The First Lutheran Church, 35 Broad St. in Lyons. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

He was a son of the late Glenn and Helen Schuldt of Sodus New York. He was a 1971 graduate of Sodus Central School. In 1972 as a passenger in a car accident, David suffered a closed head injury leaving him permanently disabled. Through the support and love of his family, especially his parents, David was able to overcome many of those disabilities to enjoy his favorite outdoor activities, especially fishing and visiting the family cottage in Chaumont Bay. He enjoyed family time playing games and listening to his favorite music from Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley. His friendly manner and genuine smile were welcoming to all.

David is survived by a sister Marianne (David) Underwood, a brother Larry (Julie) Schuldt, and close nieces Laurie (Steve) Scott, Ashley and Katelyn Underwood, a great nephew Parker Denton, as well as other nieces and nephews and long-time family member and friend Catherine Sellinger.
