 Lyons— Cathy A. Emmel, 70, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Hildebrandt Hospice Center in Rochester 

Friends may call on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 1PM to 3 PM, at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, New York 14489. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 3 PM.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Lyons Public Library, 122 Broad St., Lyons, NY 14489.

Cathy was born in Lyons, NY, on December 7, 1953, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Jane Maynard Bullock. For twenty-eight years she worked as an LPN at the Wayne County Nursing Home. In her retirement she took a job at the Lyons Public Library. In her spare-time she enjoyed gardening and birdwatching. She loved crafting with her granddaughter and going to her grandsons' sporting events. 

Mrs. Emmel is survived by her husband Jake; three children Jake, Julie, and Jeffrey (Crystal) Emmel; three grandchildren Gabriel, Johnathon and Jadaia Emmel; a sister Nancy DeMay. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Timothy Bullock.
