Born on June 8th, 1927, Betty was a lifelong resident of Clyde and Lyons, NY and the daughter of Emma and Charles Thoms Sr, along with her siblings, Chuck, Leila, and Paul. Betty was married to Henry Rocco DiSanto for 67 years and together they had two daughters, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Affectionately known as Mamie, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and celebrated a joyful Thanksgiving and Christmas with them. Family and friends cherished her, and Betty's grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her unending joy. Betty exercised her whole life, shoveling snow from neighbors’ sidewalks well into her late 80s. She was vigorous into her 90s and faced health challenges in her last few years with grace and positivity. Betty was always welcoming and loved with her whole heart. She had beautiful sparkling eyes, a kind heart, and deep faith. She had many friends and cared for those in need. Her gentle exuberance and joyous laughter livened any gathering and warmed the hearts of those around her. Many appreciated and benefitted from her sincerity, concern for others, and delicious bread. She led by example and taught us how to see the goodness in others and not to miss the silver lining in every cloud. She was interested in others' views and conversations and let people know how much they were appreciated. Betty showed her love for others through food, cards, notes, and other kindnesses. She was a friend and neighbor to all and will be deeply missed. She leaves behind her daughters Linda DiSanto, Yvonne (Jim) Gern, grandchildren Ben (Michelle) Gern, Tyson (Kristina) Gern, Hannah (Mike Weise) Gern, great-grandchildren Leandro, Luca, Eleanor, and Amelia, many nieces and nephews, many friends, and special friend Audrey Stahlnecker. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
