A. Thomas Pulvino M.D. Phelps/Newark/Clyde—A. Thomas Pulvino M.D. passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at his home in Phelps, NY. Friends may call on Friday, April 23rd from 4-7 PM at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, NY. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 24th at 9:30AM at the funeral home with Deacon Greg Kiley officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Clyde. Memorials, in his name may be made to the Phelps Fire Department, EMT Fund, 77 Ontario St., Phelps, NY 14532 He was born on August 1, 1935 in Lyons, NY the son of the late John L. Pulvino, M.D. and Dorothy Feldman Pulvino. Dr. Pulvino was a graduate of Clyde Central School, Class of 1953. He received his Bachelors Degree from Harvard University in 1957 followed by his M.D. from University of Buffalo Medical School in 1961. He then completed a one year internship at Buffalo General Hospital and a five year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Buffalo. In 1958 he married Suzanne Quereau McQueen of North Rose. In 1967 the Pulvino returned to Wayne County and began his 51 year practice of OB/GYN in Newark. Dr. Pulvino was a Diplomate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, former President of the Wayne County Medical Society and past Chief of OB/GYN at Newark Wayne Community Hospital. He was also a past member of the Phelps-Clifton Springs School Board of Education. He is survived by his wife Suzanne; three sons Brian Thomas of Pennellville, NY, John Sherman, M.D. (Jenn) of Scarborough, Maine, James Quereau, M.D. (Kim) of New Albany, Ohio; two grandsons Benjamin and William of Maine; two granddaughters Libby and Georgia of Ohio; a sister Marianne Oplinger of Endicott, NY. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
