Edward C. Marriott

Lyons Edward C. Marriott, 69, of Sohn-Alloway Rd., passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Family and friends may call Monday (Apr. 15) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons. A funeral service will be held Tuesday (Apr. 16) 11 am at First Presbyterian Church of Lyons, corners of Queen and Broad St., Lyons. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery with military honors. Ed was born June 11, 1943 in Clifton Springs. He was a veteran of the Navy from 1960 to 1965 and was owner and operator of Marriott Electric from 1970 until the present. He was a member of Humanity Lodge 406, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason and was past Master. He was a pilot, and a lay pastor for the Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joan; 2 daughters, Michelle (Bruce) Fries of Marion and Kelli (Thomas) Tarkowski of Penfield; 4 grandsons, Justin and Garrett Fries and Alexander and Jackson Tarkowski; sister, Fay Marriott of Clyde; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. For those wishing, memorials may be made to Oaks Corner Presbyterian Church, PO Box 6, Pre-Emption Rd. Oaks Corners, NY 14518. He was predeceased by his mother Ella Horton Marriott and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Pullen and Peggy Marriott.
