Gary Smith

Sterling Gary D. Smith, 61, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at home. Family and friends may call Friday (July 5) from 11 am till noon at Fair Haven Calvary Baptist Church, followed by a memorial service at noon. Gary was born September 13, 1951 in Sodus, a son to the late Robert E. and Donna Pierce Smith. He was employed as a carpenter for S&B Construction in Sterling. He enjoyed hunting, hiking and Syracuse Basketball. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the Fair Haven Fire Department or to Fair Haven Calvary Baptist Church in his memory. He is survived by his wife Linda; 3 children, Troy D. (Mary) Smith of NH, Lynelle (Dave) Lindsley of Sterling and Garren M. Smith of Sterling; 5 grandchildren, Andrew, C. Grace, Charlie, Brooke and Blake; 8 siblings, Dawn (Don) McDaniel of VA, Dean (Jeanette) Smith of Sterling, Keith (Elaine) Smith of Sterling, Brian (Charlene) Smith of VA, Clark (Debbie) Smith of VA, Craig (Gina) Smith of DE, Faith (Robert) Howell of VA and Hope Mayo of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews.
