Gertrude M. Patchen

Victory Gertrude M. Patchen, 97, passed away on Friday, August 02, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Family and friends may call on Monday (Aug. 5) from 11 am to noon at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato, where a funeral service will follow at noon. Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Oswego County, 70 Bunner Street Oswego, NY 13126 in her memory. Gertrude was born on August 18, 1915 a daughter to the late Edward and Edessie Somes Rotach. She retired from GE in Auburn as an electrical technician. Gertrude owned "Gertie's Beauty Shop" in Cato for many years. She enjoyed playing BINGO, baking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her 3 children, Cleon Ford of Jordan, Janice (Fred) Scott of Oswego and Lynn (Ruth) Ford of Elbridge; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband, Lyle Ford, second husband, Norris Patchen and 2 grandchildren, Debbie Ferlito and Danny Scott.
