Wolcott Clifford G. Parton, 87, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Family and friends may call on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 11a.m. at Wolcott Presbyterian Church, W. Main St., Wolcott. Burial will be in Huron Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wolcott Public Library, New Hartford St., Wolcott, NY 14590, to Dollars for Scholars, North Rose-Wolcott High School, Salter-Colvin Rd., Wolcott, NY 14590, or to Lakeshore Ambulance, New Hartford St., Wolcott, NY 14590. Cliff was born on November 30, 1925 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was an honors graduate at SUNY Oswego. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II from 1943-1946 and in the Korean Conflict from 1951-1952. He was an Industrial Arts teacher in the Lyons, Red Creek, and North Rose-Wolcott Schools where he retired in 1991. He was very active in many community organizations. Cliff is survived by his wife, June of 65 years; 2 daughters, Pam (Ted) Mundy of Huron and Terri (Bob) Fitzmaurice of Auburn; 6 grandchildren, Jenn Nichols (fiancé Mike Jackson), Lindsey Roberts, Dan (Emily), Brian and Allison Fitzmaurice, and Karen (Zac) Williams; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Nancy) Parton, David (Barb) Parton; sister-in-law Carolyn Parton; brother-in-law R.L.
