Kathleen F. Mathews

Lyons Kathleen F. Mathews, 78, of DeBusse Rd., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the DeMay Living Center in Newark. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday (Sept. 25) at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish at St. Michael's Church, Phelps St, Lyons. Burial will follow at South Lyons Cemetery. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the Roosevelt Children's Center, 848 Peirson Ave., Newark, NY 14513. Kathleen was born May 17, 1935 in Rochester, a daughter to the late Luke and Margaret Hogan Flanagan. She retired from Newark Developmental Center after 25 years of employment and then worked at Rossevelt Children's Center for the next 10 years. She is survived by her husband Edward of 36 years; 8 children, Edward, Patricia, Michael, Linda, Marianne, Robert, Michelle and Joseph; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister, Gail Seebold; brother, John Flanagan; sister-in-law, Marie Flanagan; several nieces and nephews.
