Jean E. Walker

North Rose Walker, Jean E., age 90, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at DeMay Living Center in Newark after a brief illness. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday (Nov. 30) from 3 to 6 pm and Sunday (Dec. 1) from 3 to 6 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., where a funeral service will be held Monday (Dec. 2) at 11 am. An Order of the Eastern Star Service will be held Saturday at 3 pm. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery with a reception to follow the service at Rose Grange, Main St., Rose. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to a charity of your choice. Jean was a 75 year member of Rose Grange, a member of the Rose-North Rose OASIS, Rose Baptist Church, Miner Young Legion Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star, Draper Chapter. She will be missed by her children, Richard (Deborah) Tompkins, Marilyn (Craig) Durbin, Charles (Linda) Tompkins and Diane DeVogelaere; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Grace Fenk Pitcher, and sisters Marjorie Cahoon and Frances Fremouw.
