Weedsport/Savannah Harold H. Stanley, 90, was placed in the hands of Heaven peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in his sleep at home. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (Dec. 11) from 6 to 8 pm at Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, 6816 Church St., Red Creek, where a time of sharing memories will follow at 8 pm. Burial will be held on Thursday (Dec. 12) 1 pm at Evergreen Cemetery, Henderson, NY. Harold was born on February 12, 1923 in Burke, a son to the late Chester and Irene Rose Stanley. He was a WWII veteran in is U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in England, Germany and France. Harold retired as a foreman for Durkee Foods after several years. He owned and operated Harold's Tropical Fish and Stanley's Aquarium in the Red Creek/Wolcott area for many years. He was also an avid lover of domestic animals, wildlife, fishing and boating. He is survived by his children, Dennis (Pam) Stanley of Red Creek, Bonnae Stanley of TN and Valerie (Joe) Colvin of Red Creek; many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and 1 nephew, Kenneth Stanley and family of TN. Predeceased by his first wife Geraldine (Stanley) Cooper, second wife Alice (Hunter) Stanley, 2 brothers, Lawrence and Earl Stanley and 1 son Allen Stanley.
