Doris Mae Cooley

Newark Doris M. Cooley, 86, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. Family and friends may call on Saturday (Dec. 28) from 12 to 1 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory. Doris was born on May 8, 1927 in Rose, a daughter to the late Jay and Florence Kaiser Shepherd. She retired from Wayne County Nursing Home. She is survived by her 4 children, Denise (Henry) Brooks of AK, Darrell (Kathleen) of OH, Paul (Kathryn) of Penn Yan and Chris (Lawrence Hand) of CA; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Converse and Eleanor Folette; 1 brother, James (Joan) Shepherd and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Paul Richard and 4 siblings.
