Lyons Glenn S. Leisenring, 77, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at home. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rochelle Ruthven and his only grandson, Glenn H. Leisenring. He is survived by his wife Jean of 56 years; 2 sons, Ricky of Junius and David of Newark; 5 granddaughters, Lindsey, Jessica, Tanya, Nicole and Ericka; 4 great-grandchildren, Hannah Mae, Dylan, Parker and Eli; several nieces and nephews. Glenn was born September 2, 1936 in Pennsylvania, a son to the late Emmitt and Dorothy Miller Leisenring, having been from a large family of 10 brothers and 2 sisters. He trained exotic animals in California, and participated in the RCA (Rodeo Cowboy Association). The love of his wife, horses and grandkids kept his life full and happy. He was a licensed horse dealer and also sold different brands of horse trailers. He was well respected around the horse community. Glenn retired from Spinco Metal Products in Newark. There will be no calling hours at this time. Family and close friends will hold a farewell gathering at a later date.
