Joanne M. Lauster

Lyons Joanne M. Lauster Joanne M. Lauster passed away at home March 30, 2014, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Joanne was born October 10, 1930, and was a lifelong resident of Lyons, NY. Family and friends are invited to join in a memorial service at the First Presbyterian Church, 11 Queen St., Lyons, on Wed., April 2, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the First Presbyterian Church of Lyons. After retiring from the Wayne County Department of Social Services, she loved her life at home. Joanne was a lifetime active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lyons and enjoyed singing in the church choir most of her years of membership. She was also a member of the Eastern Stars. Joanne was predeceased by her parents, A. Dwight and Gladys Harrington Munn. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, David; sons Bill (Kathy) of CA, John (Martie) of Lyons, Steve (Debbie Ferrell) of Lyons; grandchildren Mathew, Sonya, and Brendon; sisters Shirley George of Lyons and Marilyn Vincent of Omaha, NE; sisters-in-law Joyce Metz of CA and Dorothy Lauster of Lyons; nieces and nephews.
