Wolcott/Waterloo Paul J. Jackson, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 12, 2014 surrounded by his family. Family and friends may call Tuesday (Apr. 15) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday (Apr. 16) 11 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lifetime Care in Paul's memory. Paul was born November 30, 1927 in Vincennes, Indiana, a son to the late Oceola and Ilma Meyers Jackson. He was well-known for the construction of the South Butler Drag Strip and had a keen interest in racing and was part of NASCAR in Daytona Beach, FL. After his retirement from Mobil Chemical in Macedon, he briefly ran Lakeland Marina in Waterloo and ran Jackson Small Engine Repair in Seneca Falls until the present. He is survived by his wife Joan of Waterloo; 5 children, Ransome Jackson of Sodus, Sandy Briggs of TN, Shelly (Bob) Cahoon of Wolcott, Michael (Laurie) Hatfield of MO and Steve (Jeannette) Hatfield of MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, John Jackson of Savannah and Stan Jackson of FL; sister, Clara Watkins of FL; several nieces and nephews.
