Roger Lapp

Sodus Roger J. Lapp, 67, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday, June 19, 2014. Family and friends may call Saturday (June 28) from 1 to 3 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St. North Rose, where a funeral service will follow calling at 3 pm. For those wishing, memorials may be made to Sodus Town Ambulance in Roger's memory. Roger was born October 15, 1946 in Wolcott, a son to the late George A. and Ledra R. Harrison Lapp. He was a veteran of the Army during the Vietnam Conflict. In 1998 he received the New York Commercial Driver of the year award for 3 million miles of accident free driving. He was employed for 27 years by RIST Transport LTD in Phelps. He is survived by his wife Penny Douglas; 2 daughters, Suzanne Colf of Port Gibson and Cheryle (James) Lewis of Waterloo; 4 grandchildren, Lauren and Maria Purkiss and Logan and Ethan Lewis; great grandson, Aiden-Michael; brother, Sam Lapp; and sister, Nancy (Bill) Moore.
