Lyons Joyce N. Facer, 70, of Route 14, passed away after an extended illness on Monday, July 07, 2014 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital. Family and friends may call Friday (July 11) 4 to 6 pm at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St. Lyons, with a funeral service will follow at 6 pm. For those wishing, memorials may be made to American Heart Association in your area in Joyce's memory. Joyce was born March 23, 1944 in N. Harpersfield, NY, a daughter to the late Olaf A. and Marguerite Bedford Peterson. She has resided in Lyons since 1973 where she worked on the family farm, raising sheep and managing the apple orchards. She was a past member of the Eureka Grange and First Presbyterian Church of Lyons. She is survived by her husband John of 41 years; 2 daughters, Emily (Kevin) Hurt of KS and Erica Facer of TX; 2 brothers, Harry Peterson of Jefferson and Larry Peterson of Delhi; sister, Jane Peters of Florida, NY; an aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
