Helen S. Beal

Lyons Helen S. Beal, 88, joined her husband on Monday, August 4, 2014. Family and friends may call Thursday (Aug. 7) from 5 to 8 pm at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday (Aug. 8) 1 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, corners of Jackson and Spencer St., Lyons. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery. Helen was born December 23, 1925 in Lyons, a daughter to the late Samuel and Rose Matthews Stell. She attended Country School and graduated from Lyons High School in 1942. Helen worked many years at the E.J. Barber Hospital in Lyons and retired from Wayne County Public Health. For those wishing, memorials may be made to St. John's Church Memorial Fund in her memory. She married Kenneth Beal in 1946 and became the proud parents of 3 daughters who survive her, Linda (Jim) Pullin, Susan (David) Atkinson and Mary Ann (Tom) Facer; 7 grandchildren, Penny (Rob) Kephart, Kenneth (Christine) Pullin, Andrew (Melissa) Pullin, Michael (Amanda) Atkinson, Hollie (Michael) Zimmerman, Martha Facer and Edward Facer; 5 great-grandchildren, Emma and Sam Kephart, Kathryn and Allison Pullin, Natalia Pullin, Declan and Rohnan Atkinson and Owen Zimmerman; several nieces and nephews.
