Florence L. Blauvelt

North Carolina/North Rose Florence I. Belcher Blauvelt, age 95, of Hiddenite, in NC, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Brian Center in Statesville. She was born on January 23, 1919 in Rome, NY. Florence was retired from Parker Hannifin Air Conditioning in Lyons, NY. She was of the Catholic faith and she loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling. Florence is preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Fredrick Harvey Blauvelt, of the home; sons: James Belcher of Raleigh, NC and Richard Belcher of FL; stepson: Harvey Blauvelt of TX; stepdaughters: Elida Bnoy of FL and Sherry Griffy of TN; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held Wed., Sept. 10 at York Settlement Cemetery. Arrangements are by Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, North Rose.
