Bessie L. Schnabel

Manchester/North Rose Bessie L. Schnabel, 93, a resident in Friendly Village passed away at home on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Bessie was born October 26, 1920 in Wallington, a daughter to Grant A. and Jennie L. Garlock Briggs. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur C. Schnabel in 2011. She is survived by 2 daughters, Kathleen (George) Bowers of VA and Dale (Bud) Birchard of Rochester; 6 grandchildren, Heather Battistoni, Erinne (Greg) Woodard, David Stevens, Timothy (Kathleen) Stevens, Mark (Toni) Stevens and Alan (Jennifer) Bowers; 10 great-grandchildren, Amber, Jessica, Timothy, Matthew, Trevor, Nathan, Linsey, Christopher, Ryan and Brayden; 2 sisters, Marjorie Houghtaling, CA and Addie Schleiger of CA; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Saturday (Sept. 13) from noon to 2 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a funeral service will follow at 2 pm.
