Lyons Margrette "Maggie" L. Nolan, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 28, 2014. Family and friends may call Wednesday and Thursday (Oct. 1 & 2) from 4 to 7 pm each day. A funeral service will be held Friday (Oct. 3) 10 am at Grace Episcopal Church, Phelps St., Lyons. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Scholarship to be established at the Lyons High School for her many years of service to the School District as a bus driver. In addition, to the Lyons VFW Post 5092 or to the Humane Society of Wayne County, 1475 County House Rd., Lyons, NY 14489. Maggie was born June 21, 1928 in Geneva, a daughter to Edward and Mary Nelson Waldeck. She spent many dedicated years as a bus driver for the Lyons School District, worked at The Grace House, Buck's Hot Dog Wagon and delivered for Meals-on-Wheels for 16 years. She is survived by her loving children, Mary Nolan of Manchester, Rebecca (Rocco) Cavallo of FL, Joseph Nolan (Kevin Manning) of Rochester, Maureen (Michael) Nolan-Decillis of Avon, Kathleen Nolan of WY and Michael Nolan (Craig Schlossberg) of NYC; 11 grandchildren, Nolan, Isabella, Angelo, Nicholas, Joseph, Abigal, Michael, Joanna, Michael, Lucas and LJ; 2 great-grandchildren, Nicolo and Jada; close great-niece, Jane; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and her beloved dog Scooter.
