Beatrice J. Andrews

Wolcott/Bradenton, FL Beatrice J. Andrews, 95, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (Oct. 25) 2 pm at Huron Presbyterian Church, N. Huron Rd., Wolcott. Private interment will be in Huron Evergreen Cemetery. Bea was born August 14, 1919 in Canandaigua, a daughter to Benjamin and Edith Skinkle Witt. She graduated from Canandaigua Academy as Beatrice Uhl, and then married C. Morton Benham. Upon divorce, she and her second husband Howard Andrews moved to Wolcott where she worked for many years at Buckminsters, the Wolcott Bargain Center, and volunteered at WAVAC as a dispatcher. She was always busy at the Wolcott United Methodist Church and was and active community member. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeshore Ambulance, New Hartford St., Wolcott, NY 14590 or to a charity of choice. She is survived by her son, Richard (Lois)Benham of Lyons; daughter, Cynthia (Robert) Fowler of Huron; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Benham of TX, Austin Fowler of Huron, and Ashley (Christopher) Hance of Pultneyville; 2 great-grandchildren, Blake and Lauren Hance of Pultneyville; nieces and nephews.
