Cato Marian T. Bramble, 93, of W. Main St., passed away at home on Thursday, October 23, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (Nov. 1) 2 pm at Sennett Federated Church,7777 Weedsport-Sennett Rd., Sennett. Burial will be in Cato Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lang Memorial Library, Cato, Sennett Federated Church, or to Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Dr., Auburn, NY 13021 in her memory. Marian was born May 24, 1921 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter to the late Foster and Edna Merlau Turnbull. She was a graduate of Bennett High School in Buffalo, received her Bachelor's from Cornell University in 1943 and her Master's Degree from Syracuse University in 1969. She was a French and Latin teacher at Baker High School in Baldwinsville, and later the Foreign Language Supervisor. In 1959 she and her husband Richard bought the Cato Hardware, and was Town of Ira Clerk from 1960 until 2003. She was a member and board member of Lang Memorial Library, was on the Cayuga County Parks & Trails Commission, and was a member of the Sennett Federated Church. Predeceased by her husband Richard in 2010, son John in 2011, granddaughter, Jill Jorolemon in 2006, and sister, Mary Ellen Longley in 2006. She is survived by 3 children, Jeanne (Dana) Chapman, William (Judy) Bramble and Paul (Brenda) Bramble; daughter-in-law, Diane Bramble; grandchildren, Brian (Kate) Chapman, Carolyn (Mark) Frye, Benjamin Bramble, Nathan (MacKenzie) Bramble, Melissa Bramble, Grayce Ray (Dylan Palazzo) and Jessica Bramble; Great-grandchildren, Alison Jorolemon, Marlie & Connor Chapman, Cecilia & Penelope Frye, Micah & Maddox Bramble, Luca Palazzo and Tyler Morency; sister, Patricia Keller of CO; several nieces and nephews. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
