Red Creek Daniel S. Smith, 54, of Blind Sodus Bay Rd. died unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 7, 2014. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (Nov. 12) from 11 to 1 pm at Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, 6816 Church St., Red Creek, where a funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Daniel was born March 4, 1960 in Sodus, a son to the late Donald H. and Phyliss Acome Smith. He was predeceased by his step-parents, Orissa Darling and Charles Goodsell. Survived by his wife Maria; 3 children, Amanda (Dave) Spano of Fulton, Julie Smith of Butler and Daniel Smith of Red Creek; 3 step-children, Stephanie Carlone, Matthew Nesbitt and Sara (Ben) Owen, all of Amsterdam; 5 grandchildren, Kylie, Brianna, Amelia, Giavanna and Daniel; 5 sisters, Brenda (Peter) Lehne of Sterling, Robin (Saad) Shaben of CA, Sandra Britton of Red Creek, Wendy (Kevin) Bowen of Clyde and Anne Marie (John) Welch of Wolcott; 2 brothers, Donald Smith of Central Square and Theodore (Brenda) Smith of Sterling; 2 aunts, Eleanor Reilly of Red Creek and Christine (David) Gould of Red Creek; and several nieces and nephews. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
