South Butler Gayle M. Rusch, 63, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 21, 2014. Family and friends may call Monday (Nov. 24) from 4-8 p.m. at Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, 6816 Church St., Red Creek. A funeral service will be held Tuesday (Nov. 25) at 11 a.m. at Butler United Methodist Church in South Butler. Burial will be in Butler-Savannah Cemetery. For those wishing, memorials may be made to Butler United Methodist Church or to South Butler Fire Department. Gayle was a loving and caring mother, grandma, daughter, sister, cousin and friend to many. She was a very active member of her community and winner of the Elks (BPOE) Distinguished Citizenship Award. She was a part of the Amazing Grace Parish family who she worshiped and traveled with, as well as an active member of the South Butler Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary for over 25 years. She planned many fund raising dinners and events and helped to raise money to make the addition on the firehouse possible. Also, she was a member of the Butler Historical Society and the Elks Lodge (BPOE) in Wolcott. In her free time Gayle loved to play cards and games with her friends Pat and Eileen and her cousins, especially Wiglet and Polly. She could also be found playing Bingo and at the Casino with her cousin Krista. Gayle was predeceased by her husband Alfred Rusch, her father, Charles Crowell, brother, Dannie Crowell, cousin and confidant, Star Lasher, step-daughter, Betty George, and step-son, Skip Rusch. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Marlene (Richard) Visiko and Nikki Rusch (Kevin Kavanaugh); granddaughter, Ellie Grace Visiko; mother, Elinor Crowell; brothers, John (Lee) Crowell, Tim (Betty) Crowell and Skip (Julie) Crowell; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Kisielewski, Steven Crowell, Austin Crowell, Travis Crowell, Brandie (Erik) Holloway, Valerie Crowell and Grace Crowell; step-children, Linda (David) Bullard, Jon (Sue) Rusch, JoAnne (Larry) Dunn, Randi (Tom) Goffe, Barbara (Dan) Smith; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
