Bertram F. Reis

Cato Bertram F. Reis, 69, of Calkins Rd., passed away, Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Family and friends may call Saturday (Dec. 13) from 11 am to 1 pm at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St. Cato, where a funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Spring burial will be in Monumental Grove Cemetery, Meridian. For those wishing, donations may be made to Cato Fire Department, PO Box 252, Cato, NY 13033 in his memory. Bertram was born December 20, 1944 in Oswego, a son to the late Richard and Pearl Bareham Reis. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era in the Army. He and Kathleen Hainey were married on May 21, 1977 and lived in the Cato area all their lives. He was employed at Huhtamaki (Seal Right) in Fulton for 46 years. He was active in the Paper Workers Union and a life member of the VFW, a Yankees fan and an avid reader. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen in 2002, 2 brothers, Keith and Ken; and sister, Ellen. Survived by his daughter, Rachel; sister, Bobbi Webster of Wolcott; brothers, Tom Reis of Martville, Kurt Reis of Wolcott and Chris Reis of Oswego; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
