Janice Ann Skinner

Sterling Janice Ann Skinner, 51, of Old State Rd., passed away at home with her family present on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Family services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation in Janice's memory. Janice was born February 20, 1963 in Oswego, a daughter to Hubert and Patricia Ware Simpkins. She was a 1981 graduate of Red Creek High School and attended Bryant & Stratton in Rochester. Predeceased by her father, Hubert L. Simpkins, and step-father, Russell Stannard. Survived by her fiancé, Jeffery Treasure of Sterling, 2 children, Amanda (George) Goble of Sterling and Steven Skinner of Syracuse; 4 grandchildren, Isaac, Izabella, Aidyn and Amera; mother, Patricia Stannard of Fair Haven; 2 sisters, Darlene Burley (Ron Dates) of Martville, Arica (Mark) Harteis of Oswego; 2 brothers, Scott Simpkins of Hannibal and Wesley Simpkins of NYC; aunt, Kay (Dale) Patterson of NC; several nieces and nephews and step-children, Jeremy, Adam, Zachary and Megan.
