Lyons Robert Floyd Abbott, 77, left to be with the Lord, due to a tragic accident on Tuesday December 16, 2014. Family and friends may call Monday (Dec. 22) from 4 to 7 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose. Other services and burial will be by invitation. Robert was born November 20, 1937 in Dryden, a son to the late Floyd L. and Marcia Beardsley Abbott. He was an Army veteran from 1958 to 1960. He was a truck driver for many years, loved cars, reading, watching TV, playing cards, listening to country music, laughing and joking. He loved his family more than anything, always saw the good in people and always tried to help those in need. Robert resided with his daughter Linda Smith and son-in-law, Kent Frazer. Donations may be made to the Paralyzed Vets, Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Predeceased by brother Walter and sister, Myra. Robert is survived by 8 children, Alethea, Robert, Linda, John, Larry, Richard, Charlie and Rachel; 22 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
