Dorothy W. Barber

North Rose Dorothy W. Barber, 91, of Salter Rd., went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2015. Family and friends may call Monday (Jan. 5) from 4 to 7 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose. Family services will be private with burial in Huron Evergreen Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice Lifetime Care, 1120 South Main St., Newark, NY 14513 in her memory. Dorothy was born November 11, 1923, in the Town of Rose, a daughter to Frank and Myrtle Howard Wood. She was a life-long area resident and was an active member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. Dorothy has been an amazing example through the years of how to treat people in a loving Christian way. She will be greatly missed by her family and all the people that had the pleasure of knowing her. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Howard in 1997, and brothers, Harold, Arden and Howard. She is survived by 5 children, Carole (William) Slack, Patricia (Mark) Watkins, Phyllis Webster, James (Audry) Barber and Todd (Brenda) Barber; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
