Doris K. Brownell

Lyons Doris K. Brownell, 90, a resident of the Wayne County Nursing Home, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015. Family and friends may call Thursday (Jan. 8) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service will be held Friday (Jan. 9) at 11 a.m. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Lyons United Methodist Church in her memory. Doris was born September 21, 1924, in Venice Center, NY a daughter to Joseph J. and Suzie Seamon Kinney. Doris started her nursing career in 1942 at EJ Barber Hospital then continued at the Lyons Community Hospital. From then, she worked and retired in 1984 from the Wayne County Nursing Home as a LPN. She was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church for over 65 years. Doris is survived by her son, Charles (Cheryl) of Phelps; 3 granddaughters, Lynn (Dana) Adams of Newark, Tiphanne Crudele of FL and Desiree Brownell of Ontario; 4 great-granddaughters, Brittanie Miller, Allison Miller, Alayna Palermo and Aubrey Adams; great-great-grandson, Kalan Zornow; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1977, and 3 sisters, Mary Bailey, Marge Bailey and Karlyne Marsteiner. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
