Dean C. Jay

North Rose Dean C. Jay, 78, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015. Family and friends may call Thursday (Jan. 22) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a funeral service will be held Friday (Jan. 23) at 11 am. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the Wayne County Nursing Home Foundation, 1529 Nye Rd., Lyons, NY 14489 or to the Rose Fire Department. Dean was born April 3, 1936 in Bedford, PA, a son to Carl and Nancy Shipley Jay. He retired from American Can Company in Fairport as a tow motor operator. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and was a member of the Rose Fire Department. Predeceased by his wife Sandra in 2010 and brother, Robert. Survived by 2 daughters, Susan (James) Richardson of Pittsford and Alice (Jim) Early of Rose; 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Rachel and Kristi; brother, Marvin (Shirley) Jay of Red Creek; several nieces and nephews. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
