Hildred H. Mead

North Rose Hildred H. Mead, 89, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (Feb. 21) 11 am at North Rose United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Butler-Savannah Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the North Rose United Methodist Church in Hildred's memory. Hildred was born July 3, 1925 in the Town of Butler, a daughter to the late William C. and Doris Weeks Harper. She graduated from Keuka College and received her Master's Degree from SUNY Geneseo. She taught at various local Elementary Schools, then raised her family and devoted her time to her children and community, including, Scouting, church activities, and other local organizations. She also worked at the Robert K. Mead Agency in Clyde. She instilled her love of the outdoors and was an avid bird watcher. Predeceased by her grandson, Caleb Mead. She is survived by her son, Brian J. (Kathleen) Mead of Baldwinsville; daughter, Sandra (Rick) Allen of Pittsford; 2 granddaughters, Heather Mead and Alexandra Allen; and sister, Esther Carr of Savannah.
