William Jones Easton

November 17, 1932 — April 7, 2015

Ira/Red Creek William Jones Easton, 82, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home in Red Creek, after a long illness. Family and friends may call Saturday (Apr. 11) from 2 to 3 pm at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato, where a funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Cato. For those wishing to donate in his memory, contributions may be made to the Ira Fire Department. Bill was born November 17, 1932, in Ira, a son to the late Floyd and Esther Jones Easton. He was a 1950 graduate of Cato-Meridian High School and spent his life farming on a large dairy farm which he operated until his health failed in 2007. He was an active member of the Ira Fire Department. Bill played Sousaphone in the Red Creek Legion Band for many years doing summer concerts at the Fair Haven Village Park and also marching in area parades. Predeceased by his wife, Patricia. Survived by son, Michael of Utah; grandson, William of Wyoming; sister, Carol (Glen) Halcus of Lyons; nephews, Wesley Reed of Newark; Marvin Reed of NC, Andrew, Peter and Thomas Halecki of Rochester; nieces, Rebecca Garcia, Amy Bullard and Rhonda Perkins of Savannah; and devoted friend and caretaker, Pat Drury. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
