Barbara Gauger

Meridian Barbara Gauger, 82, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 in the Auburn Nursing Home after an extended illness. Family and friends may call on Saturday (May 23) from 1 to 3 pm at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato, where a funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Burial will be in Monumental Grove Cemetery, Meridian. Barb was born October 3, 1932 in the Town of Ira, a daughter to Lloyd and Frances Langworthy Southard. She was a lifetime resident of Meridian and enjoyed her winter home in Zephyrhills, FL with her husband Al for many years. She loved her family, children, flowers, bingo and bowling. For many years she volunteered for numerous local causes, worked in the Cato-Meridian School System and was the Librarian at the Lang Memorial Library in Cato. Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband Alfred, of 64 years; 3 children, Michael (Ellen) Gauger, Debra (Gregory) Wilson and Alicia (Noah) Wheeler; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. www.keysorfuneralhomes.com
