Ellen Marion Youngs

CATO Ellen Marion Youngs,92, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on January 4, 2015 after a short illness. She was born in Albany, New York on March 31, 1923. In the early 1940's she relocated to Miami, Florida where she spent the majority of her life raising her family. She was the tireless and dedicated mother to her 4 sons; George, Bill, Joel and Mark. Throughout her life, she was a hard worker who was employed by Ryder Systems and John Alden in Miami. Ellen was truly a student of life, attending classes at Miami-Dade Community Colleges in her 60's. In her retirement, she lived in Cato, New York for several years where she enjoyed spending time with her brother Bill Cornell and sister- in- law Barbara Clemens. She enjoyed gardening, current events and was an avid reader. She could often be found at the Cato Library. She is survived by her 2 sons; Mark Youngs and George Youngs; 5 grandchildren, Heather Youngs, Danny Youngs, Lauren Youngs, Rachel Youngs, Danielle Youngs; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 daughters in law, Tricia Youngs and Betsy Youngs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Lang Memorial Library, Cato, New York in her honor. A graveside service will be held Saturday (June 27) 10 a.m. at Union Hill Cemetery, Cato.
