Wolcott Donald A. Taylor "Gramps", 70, of Wadsworth Rd., passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Rochester General Hospital. Family and friends may call Tuesday (July 28) from 11 am to 2 pm at Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, 6816 Church St., Red Creek, where a funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Burial will be in Butler-Savannah Cemetery. For those wishing, memorials may be made to Wolcott Fire Department or to Lakeshore Ambulance in Don's memory. Don was born December 14, 1944 in Auburn, a son to the late Donald W. and Elisabeth Muhlnickel Taylor. Don graduated from Cato-Meridian High School in 1963 and moved to Wolcott. He retired from Verizon in Newark after 33 years and worked at Port Bay Golf Course for 10 years. He was an active bowler, Boy Scout Leader, Little League and Pony League Baseball Coach, golfer and an avid hunter. He was also a member of the Wolcott Fire Department for over 40 years and the Wolcott Elks Lodge for over 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife Pam of 50 years; daughter, Susan (John) McCracken of North Rose; son, Donald Jay Taylor of Pultneyville; 7 grandchildren, Joshua and Jennifer Eygnor, Timothy and Chelsea Eygnor, Sierra and Gabrielle Taylor, and Rachel, Jeffrey and Bonnie McCracken; 7 great-grandchildren, Brooke, Wyatt, Annie, Johnny, Matt, Sara and Evan; 3 sisters, Ruth (Tom) Kennelly, Hilde (Joe) Houck and Lisa (Roger) Williams; 2 brothers, William (Julie) Taylor and David (Laurie) Taylor; brothers-in-law, Gene (Laura) VanDeusen, Greg (Linda) VanDeusen, Garth VanDeusen, Ronald VanDeusen, Rick Soules, Robbie (Carol) Soules and Gary (Cheryl) Moody; sisters-in-law, Barbara Hill, Rose Marie LaValley, Carolyn (Jon) Harrison; father-in-law, Ben (Jackie) VanDeusen; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
