Margaret G. Meccariello

CatoMargaret G. Meccariello, 55, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at home with her family by her side.Family and friends may call Monday (Nov. 23) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday (Nov. 24) 11 am at Most Holy Rosary, 111 Roberts Ave. Syracuse, NY 13207. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.Meg was a loving wife and mother. She was also a creative and caring visionary, in Simulation Nursing Education at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. Her effort resulted in the creation of her, “Center for Experiential Learning”. She was also a Cato-Meridian School past President and Board Member. Her membership with INACSL (International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning) resulted in many successful conferences. This organization honored her upon completion of her involvement, by naming a work shop session “Meg Meccariello Clinical Learning Simulations”. Meg was instrumental in the creation of the “Mary Jo Lawyer Spano Mesothelioma Patient Registry Act of 2015”.
