Ruth Austin Bartishevich

LyonsRuth Austin Bartishevich, 93, of Ross Road., passed away Monday, December, 21, 2015.There will be no prior calling hours. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery, Lyons at the convenience of the family. It is requested that memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14620.Ruth was born on September 21, 1922, in Phelps, NY daughter to the late Benjamin H. and Lillian Peck Austin. She worked as a registered nurse at E. J. Barber Hospital in Lyons, then for the Lyons Central School District. She was also an active member of the Lyons Senior Citizens organization.She is survived by her son, Sergei(Paula) Bartishevich of Lyons; daughter, Lynne(Loren) Maslyn of Lyons; nine grandchildren, Charlie(Magdalena) Bartishevich of Ithaca, Staci(Christopher)Santelli of Palmyrs, Amy and Erin Maslyn of Lyons, Brian Maslyn (Emily Granger) of Newark, Benn Bartishevich of Ithaca, Jay, Alec and Anna Bartishevich of Trumansburg; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Mason and Dorothy Pietropaolo of Canandaigua; daughter-in-law, Karen Bartishevich of Trumansburg; her best friend, Eleanor Meath of Newark; many nieces and nephews.She is predeceased by her husband Charles Bartishevich in 1989, her sons Richard and Paul Bartishevich and her sister Marion Sukacz.Arrangements have been made with Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St. Lyons, NY 14489.Keysorfuneralhomes.com
