Regina Osborne, 87, of Ashley St., passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at home while being lovingly cared for by her daughter.
A private graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Whitinsville, MA at the family’s convenience.
Memorial contributions can be made to your local Hospice or Hospice of Wayne and Seneca Counties, 800 W. Miller St. Newark, NY 14513, or to Cornell Lab Ornithology, 159 Sapsucker Woods Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850, as Regina loved birdwatching and took real pleasure in seeing birds at her feeder every day even when her health prevented her from other activities.
Regina was born July 20, 1928, in Mount Vernon, NY, a daughter to the late Frances Xavier and Annie Smythe Ward. She spent most of her life in Whitinsville, MA, until moving to Guilford, NY in 1987. She worked in Massachusetts at Coz Chemical Factory and at Telechron for several years. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church on Linwood Ave. in Whitinsville, until relocating to New York where she attended the Episcopal Church in Norwich.
Predeceased by her husband, Percy Osborne, Jr.; 2 sisters, Esther Ward and Lillian Sederquist; and 2 brothers, Francis J. Ward and Thomas G. Ward.
She was a devoted wife and mother who brought great joy and love to her daughters’ lives. She is survived by 4 daughters, Barbara (Roger) Roy of Uxbridge, MA, Judy Yerka of Uxbridge, MA, Patty (Wayne) Arsenault of Douglas, MA and Elaine (Michael) Sinniger of Lyons, NY; 5 grandchildren, Dennis J. Yacino of Barre, MA, Sean M. Kiernan of Whitinsville, MA, Wendy L. Lozeau of Burrillville, RI, Jonathan Arsenault of Douglas, MA, and Sarah Yerka of Lyons, NY; 6 great-grandchildren, Matthew Kiernan of Whitinsville, MA, Scott and Brad Yacino of Barre, MA, Patrick Sherlock of Burrillville, RI, Caitlin Lozeau of Burrillville, RI, and Damien Horne of Lyons, NY; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including, James Lesperance of Newport, PA, David Lesperance of DE, Paula Nichols of MD, and Linda and Susan Lesperance both of MD. The family is especially grateful to Regina’s caregivers Shelly Cook of Geneva and Kimberly Folino of Marion, as well as the Hospice organization.
