Carol M. Summerville, 80, of James Rd., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 16, 2016.
Family and friends may call Thursday (Jan. 21) from 2 to 4 p.m. at Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 11362 South St., Cato, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the family for continued expenses.
Carol was born February 7, 1935, in Lorraine, NY, a daughter to the late Glenn and Elsie Hobbs Dobbin. She was a 1953 graduate of Cato-Meridian High School and was a long-time member of the Hannibal Fire Department Auxiliary. Carol worked at the former Syroco in Baldwinsville and then was an Avon Representative until present. She was everyone’s grandma and was “on the go” until her final days.
Predeceased by her grandson, Nickolas Reed and sister, Joyce.
She is survived by her life companion, Chuck Welch; 4 sons, Stephen (Rhonda), William (Katherine), Joel and Jonathan (Annemarie) all of Hannibal; Chuck’s 5 children, Shelley, Jim, John, Sherry and Patti Welch; 27 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings, Gene, Marilyn, Michael and Jerry; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her baby Peanut.
