Martina B. Harder, 37, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016, after a long courageous strong fight with cancer.

There will be no prior calling hours or services, a celebration of Martina’s life will be announced at a later date

Martina was born on February 1, 1979 in Newark, a daughter to David and Dorothy DeRycke Harder. Martina worked at the Newark Wayne Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician for a number of years. Martina was a strong, loving caring girl who touched the heart and souls of so many.

She is survived by her three beautiful daughters, Imani, Alayna and Jesalyn of Lyons; mother, Dorothy (George) Barnes of Lyons, father David Harder of Newark; brother, Ben Harder of Lyons; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Harder of Newark; maternal grandmother, Ann DeRycke of Lyons; life- long companion, Terry Phillips; many aunts, uncles, special friends and all the staff and residents at DeMay Living Center, Schultz Unit.

Arrangements have been made with Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons.


Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Martina's life at 1 p.m. on Saturday (September 10, 2016) at the Elks Lodge #869, 32 Church Street, Lyons.
