Joan Ellen Smith, 95, a resident of Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016.
Family and friends may call Wednesday (Sept. 21) 10 am-12 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., N. Rose, where funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Contributions may be made to North Rose Fire Department, 5070 N. Huron St., N. Rose, NY 14516.
Joan was born on June 17, 1921, in Aldershot England, a daughter to the late Wilfred and Ida Goodson Stephenson. She retired from Sarah Coventry in Newark. Her family was most important to her.
Joan is survived by her son Scott Smith of Wolcott; grandchildren, Tiffany, Matthew, Jamie, Kellie, Jennifer and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Erica, Brendan, Ema, Lily, Mia and Graham; special daughter-in-law, Ellie and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Chester; and her son, Graham.
