Alice Sanford

North Rose Alice (Sue) Fowler Sanford, age 70, died peacefully on October 10, 2016 at her home in North Rose with her children by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born on October 25, 1945, in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of William H. Fowler and Helen R. Hamilton Fowler. Sue dedicated her life to the service of others. She started her career at the Sodus Hospital and put herself through LPN school and then RN school and worked for Newark DDSO for 32 years. She was an excellent Nurse and made a positive impact on all in her care.  She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and family.  She was active in her Church and community and gave freely to others. Sue always made everyone feel special and loved. Sue was predeceased by her parents William and Helen Fowler, and brother Jan Fowler. She is survived by her children Terri (Tim) Cretin North Rose, NY, Beth (Randy) Garrett Clyde, NY, James (Vicki) Sanford North Rose, NY ; siblings Jim (Joyce) Fowler Wolcott, NY, Bob (Patty) Fowler, Salt Lake City, UT, Jim (Karla) Donaghey, Juneau, AK, Bonnie (Rob) Husky,TN,  sister in law, Anona Fowler, Wolcott, NY; grandchildren, Matt and Erin Atkins, Tyler and Emily Cretin,  Kendra, Ryan and Kyleigh Garrett, Chelsey (Luke) Pasquale, Jordan Wessie, Kirkland Brown, Nate and Ally Sanford; great-grandchildren Zaylee Atkins and Lydia Pasquale;  also a number of close friends. There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends at the North Wolcott Christian Church on Friday October 14th from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the North Wolcott Christian Church, 12764 Church Street Wolcott, NY  14590.
