Rose
David H. Williams, Jr., 71, of Rose, died Wednesday, October 5, after a brief illness.
David was born in Lyons, the only child of David H. and Judith M. Williams. He was a graduate of Lyons High School and St. Lawrence University.
A retired Wayne County employee, David was a former member of the North Rose-Wolcott Board of Education and the Rose Fire Commissioners, a life member of the Rose Fire Company and the Mullen Flow Hunting Camp and a current member of the Clyde Hill Top Gun Club.
He is survived by his family, including his wife of 49 years, Joanne; their children, Martin and Sarah Williams, Philip and Renee Williams, Janet and Jeremy Sears, and Elizabeth ("E") and Jay Gould; their grandchildren, Ethan David, Mallory, and Hannah Williams, Duban, Maria, and Olivia Williams, Lauren and Nolan Sears, and Victoria McAllister. He is also survived by many extended family members, including his aunt, Harriet Spaniol, and his cousin, Roger (Janice) Monson, of South Dakota, and his cousin Suzanne Millan, and her family of California.
At David's request, and with the support of his family, there are no calling hours or services. Friends and family are invited to an informal gathering at the Rose Fire Hall on Sunday, October 23, 3-6pm, to share memories and celebrate his life.
He is predeceased by his parents, an aunt, Mercedes House Coleman, and many relatives in the midwest.
