Thaddeus Giles Rose, Jr., “Corky” 72, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at home with family as to his wishes.

Friends may call 4-7 pm on Wednesday (Dec. 28) at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main Street, N. Rose, NY 14516. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday (Dec. 29) at the Butler Center Church, 4518 Butler Center Rd, Butler, NY.

There will be a reception at the Wolcott Elks Lodge, 6161 W. Port Bay Road, Wolcott, NY 14590 after the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler Historical Preservation Society, P. O. Box 35, South Butler, NY. 13154 or Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489.

Born  June 4, 1944 to Thaddeus Giles and Florence Elizabeth Laird Rose. After he was born, his grandmother, Belle Laird, looked at him and said, “Well isn’t he a little corker,” pertaining  to her home in Ireland, County Cork. Cork had many hobbies and interests through the years. He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and especially gardening. He was a retired member of the Iron Horseman Motorcycle Club, as well as a member of the Wolcott Elks Club. In recent years he could be found at the counter in the Village Restaurant, most likely harassing the waitresses.

Cork is survived by his pup, Butler Blue as well as his son Jamy Rose of Wolcott and his daughter, Colleen (Keith) Bielemeier of N. Rose; grandchildren, Shanabeth (Christian Cardiello) Bielemeier, Joshua (Moira Kreason) Bielemeier, Dolan Bielemeier, Nathan J. Doxtater and Lily M. Doxtater; along with extras, Smiley Graham, Mia and Abby Bielemeier; sisters, JudyAnn Flint and AmyAnn (Gary) Jones; ex-wife, Bonita Leggot; an uncle ,many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
