Hazel W. “Dean” Gervel, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at the age of 92.

Family and friends may call on Monday (Mar. 27) from 1 to 2 pm at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service will follow at 2 pm.  Burial will follow at South Lyons Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 11 Queen St., Lyons, NY  14489.

Dean was born June 14, 1924 in Bradford, TN.  She moved to Lyons with her husband Joseph in 1956.  She worshipped at First Presbyterian Church of Lyons, serving as Elder, Deacon and usher.  She was also a member of the Wayne County Historical Society, Wayne County Republican Women’s Association, was on the Board of Directors of Meal on Wheels for 15 years and was an avid golfer and Charter Member of Wayne Hills Country Club.

Predeceased by her husband Joseph and daughter, Deanie Joe Buono.  Survived by her son Ricky; son-in-law, Joseph Buono; several nieces and nephews.
